To Activists
I was thinking about writing a nice little letter to a slightly well known “pro minority” blog, but I decided that it was pointless.
It went a little something like this:
“Dear [nameofblog],
Your approach to civil equality only fuels unrest and injustice.
Your FAQ is uninformative and inhibits any point you’re trying to make.
Your mental health will not be maintained by aimless aggression.
You make us look bad.
Love, Me.”
Because the truth is, it’s the fucking Internet. What is that person like in real life? An angry student that belittles all claimed oppressors? I doubt it, I highly doubt the person probably studies these issues formally or otherwise, or is active in trying to level the playing field, in real life.
Again, the Internet. Feminists obsessing over sex and love to make a point, but in fact only making themselves apparent in their loneliness.
I’m a minority and a feminist, in loose definition.
And the fucking Internet knock offs embarrass me, and are counter productive to any civil rights movement, by making us seem foolish.
They are not fighting fire with fire, they are fighting fire with transparent whisps of smoke, somehow believing that they’re petty little Internet stand will somehow make people see, but really exposing their insecurities. The solution is deep rooted and requires a lot more than a virtual mask.
This is not minority hating, this is stupid hating, making all of us look bad, not doing anything for anyone.
